Yesterday Winthrop Vikings 20hosted Northeast Metro Tech Knights from Wakefield. The game resulted in a 2-1 win for the Vikings. After a quite first half The Knight came ahead in the opening minutes of the second. However, halfway through the half the Vikings bounced back with an equalizer after an over the top through ball assist from Gustav Hemmingsen and only a few minutes later the picture almost repeated itself. This time is was Gustav Hemmingsen who received the through pass and scored the winning goal after and one-on-one with the goalie. That score lasted to the end of the game and after a loss and a draw the Vikings are back to winning.

After two thirds into the regular season the Vikings can now record 8 wins, 1 draw and 3 losses. The team is already at it tomorrow where they will meet Lynn Classical away.
